Phillip J Jones, president and CEO of Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau (Dallas CVB) announced the appointment of Beatriz (Betty) Manetta, President & CEO, of Argent Associates, Inc and Asociar, LLC, to serve on the Executive Committee representing the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GDHCC), for the 2017-2018 term.

Ms. Manetta spent over 25 years in Corporate America and as an Entrepreneur, primarily in the telecommunications industry. Betty launched Argent Associates Inc., in 1998 and Asociar LLC in 2013, to create companies that will create economic prosperity within the markets and communities it serves. During her corporate career, she held national and international assignments in sales, technical support, and human resources. As an President & CEO of her companies, she’s driven to create new business models and redefine industries.

Ms. Manetta is a champion of ethnic minority, women and small businesses enterprises. She championed small business in President George W. Bush’s President’s Export Council. She advised on international trade matters and its impact on small, women and minority businesses and chaired the sub-committee of Technology and Innovation. She continues to help direct the national MWBE conversation and policies through her board memberships in the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the D/FW MSDC, and the Women’s Business Council Southwest.
