PLANO (Feb. 28th, 2017)

Mayor Harry LaRosiliere kicked off the fourth year of the “Plano Mayor’s Summer Internship Program” at the new One Legacy West building in Plano, with former interns, Plano ISD Superintendent Brian Binggeli, and numerous other participating businesses and nonprofit leaders.

“This program gives students an opportunity to “learn-and-earn”, and teaches them essential workforce skills and provides connections to some of the area’s top corporations and nonprofits”, said Mayor Harry LaRosiliere.  “Interns benefit from real-life experiences in the workplace and exposes them to a wide array of careers they never imagined,” continued LaRosilliere.  Asociar, LLC, is one of the participating companies in the Mayor’s Internship Program.  “We participated in 2016 and the intern brought great social media skills and new ideas to our company,” said Ron Lucas, Vice President, Sales and Business Development at Asociar.

Combining Plano’s vibrant business community with a nationally-recognized school district, the Plano Mayor’s Summer Internship Program connects motivated high school students with exceptional local businesses and organizations.  Asociar is proud to be a participating company and looks forward to our interns for 2017.
